The father of two brothers – Karl & Emil started GAUSMANN company as a small furniture manufacturer in Hiddesen, the province of Nordrhein Westfalen, district Lippe in Germany, a also locates the famous “German for Herman” monument.

1920
Karl & Emil then named the company as K.& E. Gausmann after the early death of their father in 1920. They also expanded their sofa framework manufacturing business to a complete sofa set with design development and production.

1963
After the separation of Karl & Emil in 1952, Emil’s son – Jochen joined the company in 1963, shoved GAUSMANN to an era of modern sofa manufacturing and distribution with his inherited German craftsmanship.

2015
The company’s management team has been changed and reformed during the 90’s, but the inherited German craftsmanship was remained and extended to a new mattress and boxspring range with global distribution.
